Media & Areas of Practice
Students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of media in this scheme, each lesson significantly different from the last but all were focusing on creating studies of the body. Students explored line drawing and layering of colour. They practiced mono-printing with string, creating wire drawings and drawing with ink and sticks. They played drawing games in pairs, telling their partner what to draw verbally or drawing on their back.
The students experimented with form through sculpting small bodies and covering them in plaster.
We focused on movement with the students and introduced art therapy practices such as large scale charcoal drawings created without thinking. Stop motion movies were created as small studies of movement referring to the body.

Students created advertisement posters for their exhibition building on their graphic design skills. They used the Canva app and explored balance, hierarchy, space and clarity creating excellent outcomes.

Evaluation and Assessment
This scheme concluded with an exhibition of the students work that was collaboratively designed, curated and presented alongside reflective artist's statements for each group.
With the nature of TY in mind, there was a strong focus on self evaluation and group work, giving responsibility to the students and assessing them through questioning, participation, self assessment and evaluation. Students carried out self evaluation at the end of each lesson and created reflective artist's statements. I carried out formative assessment such as recap questioning, higher and lower order questioning and delivering success criteria. There was an emphasis on participation with a balance of group work and individual tasks.

Powerpoint presentation on the scheme
A presentation created to detail the learning content of this scheme. I have included learning intentions for each lesson, success criteria, visual aids assessment methods, differentiation and student's work.
There is a personal reflection on this scheme and my entire experience of teaching placement included on the final slide of this presentation.
